Water and Bread dangle earrings to symbolize the tradition of Tashlich.
Tashlich is the symbolic gesture of Teshuvah or repentance, when we empty our pockets of our sins and cast them away. Tashlich literally means “casting off” and involves symbolically casting off the sins of the previous year by tossing pieces of bread into a body of water. Tashlich is usually performed on the first day of Rosh Hashanah. If the first day of Rosh Hashanah falls on Shabbat, Tashlich is done on the second day of Rosh Hashanah. It may be performed throughout the 10 Days of Repentance, or even until Hoshanah Rabba (the last day of Sukkot), except on Shabbat.
Clip On Backs can be used instead of pieced at no additional charge. Please add a note in your order if you would like them.
